I believe you can make (almost) any franchise work if you have a passion for the subject.
If you enjoy gaming, then being a franchisee for Play n Trade may be a good option for you.

As always, it's worth reading reviews and online discussion before commiting to any franchise or you could lose a lot!

For anyone so inclined to entertain the idiocy espoused above please search on Dale Nabors + Believe and Succeed".   Go back and read his posts on BlueMauMau before his acquisition of Cuppy's.

Then search on Dale Nabors + Believe and Succeed"  + Cuppy's and read the results.

This is what happens when a frickin' idiot believes his own snake oil catch phrase and gets delusions on grandeur.  .

Wow you're a grumpy person.

Seems you're just reading what you want to.
If you actually read my comment you would have noticed...

You're obviously grumpy for a reason, so how much did you lose?

Adam,

You must be new here.

Might want to read around the forums a bit.

Allow me to be clear.  To a large extent your success as a franchisee will be governed by the FA (franchise Agreement).  This is a contract.  You cannot “passion” away the clauses in a contract.   You cannot “passion” away a sourcing requirement that forces you to pay above market costs for your goods sold.    You cannot “passion” away a Government that props up nonviable concepts via subsidies that compete in the same marketplace.  You cannot “passion” away demographic trends or “passion” away competition.

I am a very upbeat, positive type of guy with very can-do attitude.  But you cannot overcome a stacked deck with attitude.   The time to become upbeat and optimistic is after you have signed, not before; you will inevitably need the PMA to carry you through when fate hurtles one or more obstacles at you.

Research any opportunity thoroughly and dispassionately.   In any franchise offering make sure there is an innate value proposition in

And if you do the research I suggest above, you may come to understand the perspective.

I dunno if this has been said.. But see blockbuster!

With Netflix going to start video games and places like game fly.. The lifespan of good business does not seem long..

Soon, You will be able to purchase the games from the system and download them. I just think the video game industry will be changing in the net few years just like the movie business has.
